La escultura «Autorretrato emocional» (2009) realizada a partir de una silla abandonada fue mi primera exploración como artista. La pieza participó en la Bienal de Escultura de la Galería Trazos (Caracas), donde fue galardonada con un premio de Honor otorgado por el crítico de arte venezolano, Perán Erminy.
Después de este primer logro, comencé a explorar otros materiales y técnicas como la arcilla, la resina, el yeso y el bronce para mis esculturas. Me uní a «Artistas en Conjunto» (Caracas), con la que realizaría una serie de exposiciones en Caracas.
Uno de mis últimos proyectos antes de mudarme de Venezuela a Francia fue un mural en el Festival de Arte Urbano de Chacao, Caracas.

Desde 2011 vivo en Lyon, donde continúo mi trabajo como artista pero también como editora y creativa audiovisual. En Francia, empecé a fusionar mis habilidades de postproducción con mis intereses artísticos. Estos experimentos culminaron con una serie de montajes inspirados en la naturaleza y la poesía japonesa llamados Visual Haiku.
Tras mudarme a Francia y experimentar y ser testigo de las penurias de la emigración, mi interés por los objetos abandonados pasó a centrarse en las personas abandonadas.
Llevo casi una década desarrollando este tema. En 2020 presenté una serie de instalaciones y esculturas de yeso relacionadas con el tema de la inmigración. En 2022 tuve mi primera exposición individual en Lyon titulada, La casa no existe, donde pude presentar la performance acompañada al piano por Quentin Delaplace. Más tarde, realicé la performance durante la Biennale d’art contemporaine de Lyon.
Mi técnica es una mezcla de diferentes medios visuales, como la fotografía, la pintura, el vídeo y el land art. Mi obra está llena de emociones crudas y de pensamiento y reflexión profundos que pretenden confrontar al espectador, con la esperanza de hacerle reflexionar sobre las personas y los objetos abandonados. Mis textos e imágenes nos hablan de su proceso de inmigración, de la dificultad de la comunicación, del lenguaje en la distancia.
The sculpture «Autorretrato emocional» (2009) made from an abandoned chair was my first exploration as an artist. The piece participated in the Biennial of Sculpture at Trazos Gallery (Caracas), where it was awarded with an Honored prize given by Venezuelan art critic, Perán Erminy.
After this first achievement, I began to explore other materials and techniques such as clay, resin, plaster and bronze for my sculptures. I joined «Artistas en Conjunto» (Caracas), with which I would hold a series of exhibitions in Caracas. One of my latest projects before moving from Venezuela to France was a mural in the Urban Art Festival in Chacao, Caracas.
As of 2011 I live in Lyon, where I continue my work as an artist but also as an audiovisual editor and creative. In France, I started to merge my post-production skills with my artistic interests. These experiments culminated with a series of montages inspired by nature and Japanese poetry called Visual Haiku.
After moving to France and experiencing and witnessing the hardships of migration, my interest in abandoned objects shifted into abandoned people.
For almost a decade now I have been developing this theme. In 2020 I presented a series of installations and plaster sculptures related to the theme of immigration. In 2022 I had my first solo exhibition in Lyon entitled, La casa no existe, where I was able to present the performance accompanied by Quentin Delaplace on the piano. Later on, I made the performance during the Biennale d’art contemporaine in Lyon.
My technique is a mix of different visual media, including photography, painting, video and land art. My work is full of raw emotions and deep thinking and reflection that aims to confront the spectator, hoping to make them think about people and objects left behind. My texts and images tell us about his immigration process, the difficulty of communication, the language at a distance.
Art statement
I am essentially interested in the theme of assembling and disassembling realities. How the connections that we make in our lives leave a trace in our present and how we re-construct ourselves as people through the links that are and are not in our reality.
The media I am using at the moment are the ropes that hold structures made in plaster. The ropes can be tangled and untangled. I also use them in combination with inks, to leave the negative on the paper.
Plaster symbolizes repairing broken bones, but it is also a building material. It has intuitively become a conductor and builder and a deconstructor of these realities that I want to represent.
I cannot pass up video as a tool to represent fragmented realities and with the characteristic that I like most about this medium, the power to manipulate time.
So far the theme has been migration, but my idea is to work on different scales. Finally we can also be migratory beings in this universe…
